My background was in marketing with large organizations, primarily in the medical field. I enjoyed what I was doing but always knew I wanted to own my own business and be my own boss.

My introduction to Lice Clinics of America came through a friend of mine who was a Lice Clinics of America franchisee and encouraged me to get involved. I visited his clinics and was hooked immediately. I watched moms and kids arriving in a state of panic, only to be laughing and smiling—actually joyous—when they left! The clinic had a happy vibe. The technicians treating the clients were happy because they knew they could solve the problem quickly and easily; the moms were happy because they were able to immediately put their fears and feelings of panic to rest; and the kids were happy because it was a painless, quick, simple process that happened while they were playing on an iPad.

The closer for me was doing my due diligence on the financial and operational side of the business. I quickly moved forward and opened my first clinic five years ago. Within a year I had opened my second clinic and within two years I had 3 clinics opened.  At that point,

  1. I had left my corporate job and become involved full-time in my clinics.
  2. I found a fantastic partner/manager who was stronger in operations than I was.
  3. We now own and operate five clinics across four states and are looking to open another four, and possibly more!
