Getting Started
One of the first questions an entrepreneur asks is how much will it cost to get a business up and running. A benefit of starting a business as a franchisee is that you will have a good idea what the startup costs are, based on other franchisees that have opened the exact same business.

What are the costs associated with an LCA franchise?
At Lice Clinics of America, we estimate that you will spend between $70,350 and $111,400 to get your clinic open. That is much lower than most franchises that operate out of a retail or clinic location. Lower startup costs typically mean less time to recoup your initial investment.
Why can owning an LCA franchise be the most rewarding experience?
But the rewards that come from owning a Lice Clinics of America franchise are more than just financial. The experience of having a lice infestation, and the shame, stress and discomfort that often accompanies it can be very traumatic for children and their parents. By curing them of that problem in a one-and-done treatment, you have the opportunity every day to change that trauma into hope and joy. That’s why our franchises have more than 20,000 5-star Google reviews. We promise you will never tire of those rewards.

What are the yearly maintenance costs of owning an LCA franchise?
As a franchisee, you will pay us an initial franchise fee of $40,000 for your exclusive territory, and then an ongoing 8% royalty fee for using our brand, our system, our proprietary technology, and our support. You will also pay a 4% marketing fee that will go directly into a national marketing fund for advertising the brand. There are no hidden fees. All fees are clearly listed in our Franchise Disclosure Document that we will give you before you become a franchisee.
What kind of support you can expect
We are not successful unless our franchisees are successful. Yes, we have the most effective technology in the market with our FDA cleared AirAlle® medical device. But that is only part of the formula to ensure you have a highly profitable business.
You will receive extensive training on lice treatment and running your business right from the start, but we also provide ongoing training and support in the form of group meetings with peers, virtual training sessions and in-person national meetings.
We have an entire team of Clinic Success Managers dedicated to helping you run your business, one of whom will be dedicated to you. Your Clinic Success Manager will effectively be your partner and will be there every step of the way.

Are there any hidden costs of owning an LCA franchise?
All fees and royalties are clearly defined in the Franchise Disclosure Document and our Franchise Agreement. There are no hidden fees. And since we have a network of over 130 operating clinics, there is a lot of experience to draw from when it comes to average operating costs like rent, labor, utilities, etc.
We are only successful if you are successful. Being as transparent as possible is the only way to ensure your success.
