My journey into this business began with my own experience with lice. With a background in cosmetology and experience as a lice-treatment technician, I realized how much I enjoy helping families through a stressful and emotional time.
I remember the fear, uncertainty, and frustration of searching for answers and a solution I could trust. Finding us is easy! We’re located just north of the 8th Street exit (Exit 3) off I-235, marked “73rd–8th Street,” in the Windsor Heights/West Des Moines area.
Our address is 6900 University Avenue, Suite 120, Windsor Heights, IA 50324, at the corner of University Avenue and 70th Street. You’ll see Bankers Trust facing the building.
For easy access, enter through the south entrance next to Liberty Tax. Once inside, you’ll find us in Suite 120. We look forward to seeing you!

Does everyone in my family need to be checked for lice?
Yes! We strongly recommend having everyone in the household checked when one person has lice. People can have lice without knowing it, since symptoms may take several weeks to appear. Checking everyone at the same time helps find any other infestations before lice has a chance to keep circulating through the household. Our 30-day guarantee also requires all household members to be checked and anyone who has lice to be treated.
Do you treat both children and adults?
Yes! We treat both children and adults at our Des Moines clinic. We see everyone from little kids to adults, and our technicians are experienced in working with all ages, hair lengths, and hair textures.
How long does a lice treatment appointment take?
Most appointments take about an hour from start to finish. Our Signature AirAllé® treatment is designed to take care of the lice and eggs in one visit, so you can get back to your normal routine without spending days or weeks combing, re-treating, and constantly cleaning at home. Very long, thick, or heavily infested hair may take a little longer, very rarely is there an additional charge. For most families, it’s about an hour with us instead of weeks dealing with lice on your own.
What should I bring to my lice treatment appointment?
Please arrive with clean, dry, tangle-free hair and avoid putting hair products in before your visit. Wear a shirt you don’t mind tossing in the wash when you get home and bring your insurance card if you plan to request reimbursement.
We have toys, books, iPads, and other electronic entertainment for the kids, but feel free to bring your own! The heated-air portion of the treatment feels like a warm massage on your head, so adults tend to close their eyes and relax while the kids usually keep busy playing on phones and iPads.
