We are Jill Leshtz and Jennifer Riback, owners of Lice Clinics of America – North Shore, a business we have proudly operated for more than a decade.
Our decision to open the clinic came from personal experience. After treating our own daughters for lice at home, we experienced firsthand how frustrating, time-consuming, and overwhelming the process could be. We found ourselves unsure if we were doing everything correctly and realized how little clear, reliable guidance was available to families.
We knew parents shouldn’t have to spend 10–12 days repeatedly checking, combing, and treating their children while wondering if the lice was truly gone. We wanted to offer a better solution.

Questions about our North Shore clinic
Where is the North Shore lice clinic, and is there parking?
We are conveniently located in the 400 Building in Deerfield, just west of the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Waukegan Road, with easy access from both I-294 and Route 41. Enter through Door #1 and you’ll find us at the top of the stairs. For elevator access, enter through Door #2. When you exit the elevator, turn right, then right again. We are down the hall on the left in Suite 201.
Does everyone in my family need to be checked for lice?
Yes! We strongly recommend having everyone in the household checked when one person has lice. People can have lice without knowing it, since symptoms may take several weeks to appear. Checking everyone at the same time helps find any other infestations before lice has a chance to keep circulating through the household. Our 30-day guarantee also requires all household members to be checked and anyone who has lice to be treated.
Do you treat both children and adults?
Yes! We treat both children and adults at our North Shore clinic. We see everyone from little kids to adults, and our technicians are experienced in working with all ages, hair lengths, and hair textures.
How long does a lice treatment appointment take?
Most appointments take about an hour from start to finish. Our Signature AirAllé® treatment is designed to take care of the lice and eggs in one visit, so you can get back to your normal routine without spending days or weeks combing, re-treating, and constantly cleaning at home. Very long, thick, or heavily infested hair may take a little longer, but there is no additional charge. For most families, it’s about an hour with us instead of weeks dealing with lice on your own.
What should I bring to my lice treatment appointment?
Please arrive with clean, dry, tangle-free hair and avoid putting hair products in before your visit. It should NOT be oily/greasy from any OTC lice treatment or home remedy. We also recommend bringing a tablet or other device—it can be a great distraction and help keep kids entertained if treatment is needed.
