welcome to lice clinics of america
You have been directed to our clinic website because someone recommended we send you a Lice Alert. You or a family member has been exposed to head lice, which is extremely contagious, and they wanted to provide you the courtesy of letting you know.
It is critical you take action as soon as possible!
The best thing to do is to call our clinic to make an appointment for a professional head screening.
If you can't schedule an appointment at our clinic, please perform the following steps on everyone in your house.
Step 1
Use a fine tooth comb, the finer the tooth the better.
Step 2
Part the hair to look for nits attached to the hair shaft. Pay particular attention behind the ears, at the crown, near the neckline and the back of the neck.
Step 3
Wet the hair.
Step 4
Comb through small sections of hair, pausing to clean the comb after every pass with a white paper towel.
Step 5
Examine the paper towel for nits and lice.
Step 6
Notify the school and other parents if your child has an active case.
